Panic Over North America Tour | Soilwork-July 14th, 2010

I hadn’t seen Soilwork since Ozzfest 2005, and although that was an amazing show, another dose of these Swedes was due. Most metalheads have heard of them, but to the newcomers and the non-metalheads, make sure to check them out here or here. From all of their albums, I would recommend starting out with Stabbing the Drama and also Sworn to A Great Divide (I’m a bit surprised and bummed out that they didn’t play the song, though.) Enjoy!

Panic Over North America Tour | Death Angel-July 14th, 2010

One of the most energetic sets I’ve seen at Jaxx! I’ve been waiting to see Death Angel for a while now, so it was a pleasure indeed. The lighting this time was awesome (if Jaxx did this kind of lighting more often, my pictures would come out way better more often.) Check these guys out (they hail from CA) here-I highly recommend them for die hard thrashers out there!

Panic Over North America Tour | Augury-July 14th, 2010

Augury is an interesting French-Canadian band. They’ve put out two albums, Concealed and Fragmentary Evidence, both of which I like. Their set was pretty cool-check them out here or here. I recommend them for technical metal fans, etc.

Panic Over North America Tour | Mutiny Within-July 14th, 2010

These guys are just awesome. I took pictures of them when they played with Dark Tranquillity in May. The crowd back then wasn’t all that great (despite a good show), but this time, the set was full of mutual energy. Not only were we all headbanging, the guys were all over the stage (and damn, Chris has some chops!) Check them out on their Myspace page; they’re new self-titled album is kickass. They’re definitely a solid up-and-coming band…heck, I’ll be seeing them again at least twice more this year
Offstage, the dudes are even cooler!! (hehe) I bought their album there for $5 and got it signed without even asking-that’s awesome. They’re obviously great to talk to as well.
