New York City | June 2010
Walking all over NYC…woo!! Around the American Museum of Natural History to Central Park to Broadway to Time Square. That city is crazy…and a lot of fun, too. Enjoy.

American Museum of Natural History-NYC | June 2010
Beautiful both inside and out; a must-see educational adventure. I didn’t even get a chance to check out the entire museum! Here’s what I saw, however…..enjoy.

Coney Island, New York | June, 2010
Beach!! Not only does Coney Island boast a cool, not-ridiculously-crowded beach…it has awesome rides. Also, the New York Aquarium is right behind the boardwalk. Fun and education all at once. Yay!
I think the most exciting part was hearing so many people from many different places; this is evident by the multi-lingual signs. I heard Russian, Spanish (especially the Caribbean take on it), French, Portuguese, Polish, German, all kinds of English……ooooo, an anthropologists paradise!

New York Aquarium | June, 2010
While visiting family in South Jersey, we ended up checking out the New York Aquarium on a trip to Coney Island. Awesome place to admire ocean life! Yay!
I am proud to say that I found (and bought) a T-shirt that said: “Connecting With Nature….there’s no App for that”
Couldn’t have found a better T-shirt. Enjoy.

National Gallery of Art
One of the best ways to spend the weekend is to visit the Smithsonian Museums-here’s the National Gallery of Art. I went with my parents, my little sister, and my grandmother. I am very interested in art (quite obviously), but also the history of art-I took an amazing art class focusing on the symbolism and stories in art (GMU!!) For that reason, there’s a lot of mythological art and religious art in the pictures.
“To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits: logic and common sense will only interfere. But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams.”-Giorgio de Chirico
